My longest-standing client, Electrogas, contacted me late in 2021 looking for some new concepts that they could use to put on hoodies. They wanted to break away from simply putting their logo on their promotional materials.
With free rein on the design process, I spent some time looking at different ways I could incorporate their logo into some design, and also at some neat and interesting concepts that were trending with apparel design for some others. There were a total of 4 concepts, including the final one you see at the top of the page.
Below you will find the 3 other concepts that I created for Electrogas. There was a combination of clean/simple – as well as some more creative approaches. I tried to include major parts of their brand identity, including the ‘swooshes’ found in their logo or imagery that ties into the idea of them being a Canadian business. The last concept was a play on an old-school idea that has been growing in popularity since 2020. All the concepts worked well in the context they would be used for, but as with all my projects, the final decision comes down to the client.
The new hoodies are in and they look great! It accomplished everything that Electrogas was looking for. It creatively and effectively provided a new way to get their business name out there. Look for the hoodies around town! I know I have got mine!
